Granada Television are currently looking for contestants in the Ipswich area to take part in the new, daytime series of the hugely popular Channel 4 show, Come Dine with Me.
Granada Television will be filming an episode in Ipswich at the beginning of June and are therefore looking for people with a passion for good food to take part in the show.

PARAMEDICS treated a young female for minor injuries after a crash on Star Lane in Ipswich tonight.

RAIL fares for some journeys are set to go up by about ten per cent next month. A standard return fare from Ipswich to London - valid at any time - is set to increase from £53 to £58, a rise of 9.
Arsonists left fire service stretched
FIREFIGHTERS have today condemned arsonists who set fire to bins leaving the service too stretched to send the usual amount of crews to a house fire. Reserve crews from Princes Street fire station had to be sent to a chip pan blaze in Millfield Gardens because two other crews were tackling bin fires started by firebugs next to Holbrook House and Greenwich flats in John Street, Ipswich.

A WOMAN had to be cut free from her vehicle after it was involved in a collision in Washbrook.
British Sea Power back at festival
BRIGHTON-based indie rock band British Sea Power are to play at Suffolk's Latitude festival, it was announced today. The group will perform on the Friday in the festival's Obelisk Arena during the event which runs from July 17 to July 20 at Henham Park, near Southwold.

Colchester United 0 Stoke City 1 By Carl Marston COLCHESTER United's last ever game at Layer Road ended in defeat as visiting Stoke City moved a step nearer to the Premiership.

TODAY'S game means so much to both clubs, but for very different reasons. Hosts Colchester United will be playing at Layer Road for the final time, with the exception of a youth team final and a reserves fixture, so bringing the curtain down on 101 years of football at this famous old ground.

SUFFOLK lost to a Derbyshire XI by seven wickets at Ockbrook & Borrowash CC today. Suffolk struggled in testing conditions, losing their first three batsmen for 36 and then four wickets with the score on 43 before Simon Rees and captain Paul King added 51 for the ninth wicket to bring some respectability to a total of 121 all out.
Brantham can clinch championship
METALTEC SIL Senior Division title favourites Brantham have already achieved their target for this season. Manager Tony Hall confirmed that gaining a place in the Ridgeons League was the main objective.
Question marks hangs over Louis' future
CHRIS Louis' riding future has to be in question after the 38-year-old Ipswich Evening Star Witches skipper broke his upper right arm last night. Louis is in his 20th year riding for his home town club where he has become an institution, also acting as skipper and rider/manager.
