Anxious wait for bomb to be detonated
Scores of people are currently lining Felixstowe seafront waiting for a huge wartime bomb to be detonated. The 500kg German bomb has now been towed around a mile out to sea by bomb disposal experts who are due to detonate it at around 2pm today. The explosion is expected to be visible from Felixstowe.

Overturned trailer causes tailbacks
QUEUES are building up on the A14 tonight after a trailer overturned on the approach to the Orwell Bridge.

ONE of the main routes out of Ipswich could be closed ?for some time" for repair works on a subsidence problem.

Gas explosion demolishes pub
EMERGENCY services were called after a blast at a disused pub. Five fire engines and two ambulances were at the scene at the Florence Nightingale pub on Beckett Street in the Burmantofts area of Leeds at around 1.
