Stowmarket shops leave town
TRADERS are dismayed that two independent retailers who have served residents for years have closed in Stowmarket. Angelo Smith, a traditional family jewellers established in 1876 that has served the town for years, and The Handi-wool Shop that has traded locally for 15 years, have shut their shops in the town.

Hospital cleared over hygiene
AN improvement notice slapped on Ipswich Hospital for breaches of the hygiene code has been removed, it emerged today. In February the Healthcare Commission ordered the Heath Road hospital to get better at the way it dealt with some infection control practices following an unannounced visit.

Hadleigh says no to Tesco
MORE than 250 residents marched through their town today with banners chanting ?hands of Hadleigh? as they fight to stop Tesco's plans to open a superstore in their community.
