A MAN had to be talked down from jumping off the Orwell Bridge in Ipswich this afternoon.

DILAPIDATED technology and poor resources were today blamed for the ?extraordinary? disruption to a trial at Ipswich Crown Court. The multi-million pound court building in Russell Road is equipped with a range of hi-tech equipment - including video links, the internet and metal detectors - to ensure the smooth running of cases.
Hospital crash victim was father of two
A GRIEVING family have paid tribute to a father-of-two who was killed in a crash outside the hospital where he was a patient.
Plane crashes into homes
A SEARCH and rescue crew, based at Wattisham airfield, were called to help after a light aircraft crashed into houses in Kent. The helicopter was deployed this afternoon following the incident in Biggin Hill, however on arrival, the crew discovered their assistance was not needed.
One casualty in flat fire
A PERSON had to be treated for smoke inhalation today after a chip pan caught fire at a flat in Bramford. Two fire crews from Princes Street attended the blaze at Gippingstone Road at 10.50am.
