A WOMAN has died following a hit and run incident in Ipswich today. The 61-year-old was found collapsed in Stoke Park Drive near to Prince of Wales drive at around 8.

A WOMAN and her dog have been saved after they were washed out to sea by a massive wave. The 56-year-old woman - who was staying with her husband in a cottage at Walton, Essex - had gone to the aid of her 14-year-old Golden Retriever, Stacey, who was trapped in the rough seas But the woman was then knocked into the water just before high tide at about 11.

A MAN had to be treated for smoke inhalation today following a blaze in a Suffolk home. The blaze started in a kitchen in a house in Blyford Way, Felixstowe at around 11.

A MAN is in currently in custody on suspicion of kidnap after a stand off in Ipswich town centre today. Part of the Buttermarket was cordoned off and evacuated and armed police were on standby following reports that a woman was being threatened with a knife and was being held against her will in a flat above a building society.
