PRIME Minister Gordon Brown has today praised the ?professionalism and dedication? of the police and prosecutors involved in convicting serial killer Steve Wright.

PAMELA Wright has today vowed to leave Ipswich for good following evil partner Steve Wright's conviction for murdering five sex workers. The 60-year-old told a close friend she feared she would become an ?object of strange fascination? and said some people in the town would never believe she was unaware of her boyfriend's killing spree.
Ipswich backing for national DNA records
AS THE debate over DNA records hots up, Ipswich borough leader Liz Harsant today backed calls for a national database. Mrs Harsant, who is also a trustee of the Somebody's Daughter appeal set up in the wake of Steve Wright's orgy of murder in the town, supported calls from senior police officers.
Port still closed after crane fall
PART of the Port of Felixstowe remains closed today after cranes came crashing down in high winds. It is not known when the Landguard terminal of the port will be able to reopen after a ship carrying new cranes broke its moorings in gale-force winds and crashed into older cranes on the quayside causing them to collapse.
Two vehicle smash closed A12
A CRASH closed part of the A12 at Little Glemham, near Woodbridge, today. Suffolk police said two vehicles were involved in the accident this afternoon at about 3pm but no one was injured.
