A whole world of song

Event date : 25 February 2012

A 40-voice choir perform with women's acappella group Way Beyond the Blue, to present songs from around the world, all in the original languages and all in glorious unaccompanied harmony.

- a concert of exquisite and enchanting harmony singing -

After a hugely successful pilot project at Jimmy’s Farm last summer, Woodbridge choir master Chris Rowbury set off in January on a six week Singing Safari in Ipswich to teach songs from all around the world and build a choir from scratch.

Proving that everyone can sing (there were no auditions), the Singing Safari choir will be performing at St. Peter’s by the Waterfront, Ipswich on Saturday 25th February at 7.30pm. Tickets £5/ £2 under 16s (on the door, from St. Peter’s or phone 01394 610486). Joining them will be the women's acappella group Way Beyond the Blue.

The concert will present a range of songs from around the world, all in the original languages and all in glorious unaccompanied harmony. This will be an evening of singing that stirs the soul, warms the heart, and revives the spirit on a cold winter’s night!
