Suffolk
Dunwich, once a thriving town but has now been all but surrendered to the sea, this piece of unspoilt Suffolk coastline is popular with those seeking a quieter time.
Dunwich is a small town in Suffolk, England, within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB. Dunwich was the capital of East Anglia 1500 years ago and was a prosperous seaport and centre of the wool trade during the Early Middle Ages, with a natural harbour formed by the mouths of the River Blyth and the River Dunwich, but the harbour and most of the town has since been lost to coastal erosion.
