We had a lovely few days in Ipswich made more comfortable by our stay at Grove Guest House. It is situated just outside the city centre but only a 15 minute walk away. Carol and Alan, the proprietors, do not live on site but are very close and insisted we got in touch if there were any issues. They kept in touch before we arrived to ensure they were there to greet us when we arrived. Cooked breakfast is not supplied, however, the 'continental' style breakfast was more than enough (especially if you are looking for more healthy options, as we are). The room had the usual tea & coffee facilities and the fridge was kept well stocked with proper milk (no mini UHT pots), fruit juice, yogurts, bread (therre was a toaster in the room), cheese, chocolate and fruit bars, cereal and fruit, more than enough to give us a good start to the day. The bed was comfortable, the room had an en-suite toilet with walk-in shower and everything was very clean. We would certainly recommend Grove Guest House if you're visiting Ipswich or use it as a jumping off point for other places in Suffolk.
